Listening to the Divine Mother Within By Reverend Liz Petipren
As we evolve, we handle knowledge in new ways. At first we are unaware. The next step is to become aware of facts, data and information. As we become more aware we are able to comprehend the meaning of the facts and can move into personal application of the information in our lives. Through personal application of the information, we gain the wisdom and the understanding we need to make conscious choices that create our world. Our evolution in understanding and the choices we make in alignment with that understanding helps us live in integrity and truth.
Myrtle Fillmore, co-founder of Unity, also known as the “Mother of Unity,” believed that “There can be no knowledge, without emotion.”
Our connection with the Divine Mother/Feminine that resides within all humans bears the gift of our sacred connection to the oneness of God dwelling within.
The Divine Mother/Feminine is love in action. It is the aspect within each of us that has respect for all life and understands the unity of all living things. “This passionate love in action is seeking union with the Divine Father/Masculine within each of us, so we may birth forth the Divine Child/Christ Consciousness on this planet – right now” ( How To Let God Help You” by Myrtle Fillmore)
As we experience the connection with Mother Love, we are called to live that experience, not just know the facts.
We must think about God as Mother as well as Father. We must think about and worship the Holy Mother and talk to the Holy Mother and enter into that Holy Mother consciousness within us.
This month of May, we honor the Divine Mother and the unique nurturing instincts that live in each of us. Our true nature is grounded in this Divine Love that inspires us to provide loving care to ourselves, then to those close around us and then to our world.
Have a happy and blessed “Mother’s Day” and know that our Father, Mother God relationship is our true connection to each other.

Spring is in the air, and Unity of the Pines is doing some Spring cleaning.
The old organ in the sanctuary is being donated to Faith Farm Ministries.
The Seventh Day Adventist group, that has been meeting here every Saturday, will be relocating to a new venue at the end of May. We wish them well in their new location.
A small Bible Study group will soon be renting the old lending library room for meetings one evening per week.
Also, Brian Kirsch is going to become the new live-in custodian on the premises. He will be renting the room vacated by the Seventh Day Adventists after their departure. Brian will be taking care of repairs and maintenance needs for Unity of the Pines. He has been the technical brains behind our web site and has helped out in the book store after Sunday services.
Unity in the Pines would have trouble existing without volunteers, our “Sacred Servers”. Every Sunday they greet you, take up the collection, serve refreshments and clean up the kitchen.
There is still room for more helping hands. Volunteers are needed in the bookroom, before and after the service, to sell books and items from the White Elephant shelves. Help will be welcome in picking up bulletins and any other items left in the sanctuary after the service. Can you think of anything else?

Come to Unity in the Pines for a special Mother’s Day flower service. Learn about the truly feminine nature of God from Adra Farriss, Licensed Unity Teacher and longtime Unity Truth Student All Mothers will receive a special “Flower Blessing”

The Women of Unity
Once again the Women of Unity are inviting you to join them for their “Spring Luncheon” on Friday, May the 13th at Noon. This luncheon will be at the Perkins restaurant located at 2585 S. Military Trail in West Palm Beach. The price per person is $13.00, which will give you a variety of lunch options. Also, everyone will receive a raffle ticket. The winner may be you.
