The Beauty of God

Summer is upon us and some of us will soon be travelling to far-away places to see family and friends. How blessed we are to live in a region where we are so close to the waters. It is good to take the time – no, to make the time to do this – to truly enjoy the beauty of nature, the order of God’s creation.

This stay on earth is truly a short one. It is important that we do not waste this precious time putting off our good by worrying, complaining or just being depressed.

How are you spending your days? Are you taking the time to appreciate the beauty around you; to recognize the love light in the people with whom you come in contact; to appreciate your personal gifts such as a healthy body temple and a mind that can reason and move beyond reason to spiritual truths?

We are all so blessed. God blesses us through all of creation. Take time to get in touch with the beauty of God’s Creation through nature and your fellow human beings. Find God’s blessings in every situation and condition in your life for it is there, God is there – Yes, God is in the midst of  your seeming confusions just as God is present when you feel most peaceful. Take the time to know God; to know Love; to know Peace; to know Health; to know Abundance; to know Beauty; to know Laughter; to know your Inner Christ Self.

You and I are the I AM . We are surrounded by the mighty I AM presence wherever we turn. Let us all open our spiritual eyes and behold the beauty. Take time this season to spend precious moments with God.

I have always believed that as we open to God and trust in what we hear within, our spiritual journey will be clear. This phase of my journey has led me to become a member of Unity in the Pines. It has been my joy to make lovely new friends in my new spiritual home. I look forward to serving you as the President of the Board of Trustees. 

We have an exciting upcoming event! It will soon be Unity in the Pines 50^th Anniversary, and we are planning a wonderful celebration on October 16^th. It will be called “HARVEST THE SPIRIT OF UNITY.” 

There will be food to feed our bodies and activities to feed our spirit. We will have crafts, pumpkins, food, etc. for sale, and things to see and do for children and adults. 

A committee is forming for this event. Please join us. There will be a sign up sheet on Sunday, or you are welcome to call me at 968-4123. 

   I look forward to being with you soon.

The Four Agreements Book Study 

The Book Study on “The Four Agreements” 

By Author Don Miguel Ruiz will continue to meet through the month of June on each Tuesday evening at 6:30 PM in Unity of the Pines book room. This book is filled with the Toltec Wisdom and when learned and applied will transform your world into a more fulfilling, meaningful life. Don’t miss the interesting conversations and the sharing experiences by attending this book study. Christina Callahan will facilitate this study for the month of June. 

Prayer Request: 

If you have a prayer for yourself or someone else please fill out the prayer request form found in the church lobby or in the church bulletin. Your prayer request are confidential and will be prayed over for 30 days by our prayer team and then sent to Silent Unity to be prayer over for another 30 days. 

Church Directory: 

If you would like to be included in Unity of the Pines new 2010 church directory please fill out the enclosed form and submit it back to the church office no later the Sunday, July the 11^th. Thank you. 

STEEPLE DONORS UP DATE 

If you are interested in donating back to the cost of Unity in the Pines’ new Steeple you may do that at any time. Simply make out your check or put cash in the envelope marked “Steeple Drive” available in the Lobby of the church. The Steeple cost $9,700.00, and we have received over $3,000.00 back. Thank you to all who have donated. 

Anneliesa Trethewey 

Anneliesa Trethewey will be performing for Unity in the Pines through the summer months of June, July, August and September. 

Anneliesa was born and raised in Owosso and has played the piano since she was three years old. She studied at the Western Michigan University earning a piano performance degree.  

Anneliesa has lived in West Palm Beach for four years and teaches piano to thirty students in her private studio. She also is currently teaching at Good Shepherd music institute with piano workshops for children and adults and is hired as a choral director at Palm Springs Community Middle School.  Her goal is to expand music in our communities and deep culture thriving and living forever. 

Don’t miss Anneliesa at Unity in the Pines this summer season. You are in for a treat.
